Watch: Greensmith and Veiby crash at Rally Monza

Saturday afternoon’s opening Selvino stage was halted after two big crashes.

With snow falling, firstly Gus Greensmith drifted wide on a right corner 3km from the finish and hit the barrier on the left. His Ford Fiesta rebounded across the road into a rock face, before rolling down a bank.

Minutes later, at the same place, Ole Christian Veiby’s Hyundai i20 also slammed into the barrier before bouncing into the rock face on the opposite side. His badly damaged car came to rest in the middle of the road, blocking the route.

All drivers and co-drivers were unhurt.
