Renault is ready to supply engines to Red Bull


Renault is ready to supply engines to Red Bull and AlphaTauri teams from 2022. On Friday, Honda officially announced that after 2021 season will leave Formula-1.

Renault has been supplying engines to the Red Bull team from 2007 until 2018. At the same time, Red Bull won four champion titles. Next year, Mercedes will supply engines for four teams, Ferrari fot three and Renault only for Alpine.

According to Renault managing Director Cyril Abiteboul, Red Bull hasn‘t contacted Renault yet, but the manufacturer is ready to supply engines for team: “Helmut Mark and Christian Horner everything knew before it was announced. I don’t think we are their Plan A. We just knew that Honda should announce their plans for 2021 season”.
