Racing Point in numbers: Algarve arithmetic

Official Racing Point website announced statics about the Portugal Grand Prix at the Algarve.

– We’ll start with the obvious one, shall we? This is the first Portuguese Grand Prix to be held at the Algarve International Circuit!

2 – Checo has taken consecutive P4 finishes in the last two races in Russia and Germany.

P4 – Our drivers are in a tight midfield battle for P4 in the Drivers’ Championship, with fourth to 11th split by 27 points. Checo and Lance are P5 and P9 currently.

6 – Just six points split P3 to P5 in the Constructors’ Championship heading into the final stretch of races, and the team will be fighting hard to hold onto P3 at the end of the Portuguese Grand Prix!

11 – After the Eifel Grand Prix, the team has now scored points with at least one car in all 11 Grands Prix to date.

15 – In a run stretching back into last season, Checo is on a streak of 15 points finishes in a row!

26 – The Algarve International Circuit will host the 26th Portuguese Grand Prix – and the event was last held in 1996.

100% – Checo goes into this race with his streak still going strong! He’s scored points in all nine 2020 races he’s taken part in – now it’s time to make it 10!

200 – A score of six points in the Portuguese Grand Prix would take the team to a total of 200 points scored in the Racing Point era.

2008 – The year in which the Algarve International Circuit opened, since going on to host Formula 3, GP2, touring cars, GTs and now Formula 1!
