Nico Hulkenberg doesn’t want to be a “firefighter” anymore

It is difficult to predict if Formula-1 fans will see Nico Hulkenberg next year. Experienced German driver left a good impression in Silverstone and Nurburging where he replaced Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll in Racing Point team.

“There are not so many pilots who are able to show good results in F-1 in my situation”, N. Hulkenberg said to “Bild am Sonntag”. – But being a firefighter is not what I want. Few teams immediately offered me to replace a pilot, but my priority is to be the main driver.”

The German also noted that the attractive option for him would be to sign a contract with Red Bull team for 2021, but chances are not high.
