Maurizio Gerini: I stopped to take a picture at the finish

Maurizio Gerini, the winner of the marathon category in 2018 and 2019, is taking part in his fourth Dakar in the Original by Motul class. The Italian captured the moment he became the first biker to finish the prologue.

“I was so happy to cross the first finish line that I stopped to take a picture at the finish showing me as the first biker! I also had to get a good place for the start tomorrow. I decided to enter the category for bikers racing without support this year…”
