Manuel Andujar: The stage was really hard with tricky navigation

Finishing second on completion of the fifth stage between Riyadh and Al Qaisumah, Manuel Andújar has climbed to second place in the general standings. The Argentinean now trails his countryman Cavigliasso by 23 minutes and leads Frenchman Giroud by 24 minutes.

“The stage was really hard with tricky navigation. It was tricky on the first 150 kilometres, but I think I rode well and I’m happy with today’s stage. In the first kilometres I made a mistake but I was able to fix it really quickly, get back on the right route and get it done”.
