Formula-1 World champion Jacques Villeneuve believes Alex Albon did not deserve to be in Red Bull Racing team. According to the Canadian, the Thai-born driver has not been fired because the Red Bull energy drink producer has co-owners from Thailand.
To Sky Italia, J. Villeneuve said: “Alex isn’t worth to be in this team. He is the worst “second number” ever in Red Bull team. However, the team management has always defended and supported him.
He shows very bad results, though the team tries to help him. The only reason why Alex is still in the team is his passport. Half of the Red Bull company owns by people from Thailand, and that’s why it keeps its place.”
