Carlos Sainz goes the wrong way!

Carlos Sainz, second after 88 km, has gone off course after 156 km of the special. The Spaniard hesitated before straying more than 2 km from the route and has lost precious time as a result!

Both driving for Toyota Gazoo Racing, Henk Lategan and Giniel De Villiers are on impressive form over the first kilometres of the special. Lategan has moved into the provisional lead, just over a minute ahead of Yazeed Al-Rajhi. De Villiers is third in front of Mathieu Serradori and trails his team-mate by 1’28, making it a good start to the stage for Toyota.
